Friends Performing From Poetry Is Possible

Poetry Is Possible: Selected Poems was launched during Oslo Pride 2018 at Melahuset with the help of various artist friends. They each chose a poem from the collection that spoke to them and performed it at the event. Check out their performances here.

Queer Poetry, Sexuality & Spirituality

In conversation with Ari Gautier about queer literature, spirituality, sexuality, and more.
Poetry Is Possible: Selected Poems was launched during Oslo Pride 2018 at Melahuset.

Love Is Possible

“On Thursday 6th September 2018, I woke up in Verona, Italy, in the city of Romeo and Juliet. The trip was a gift from my mother. There are many kinds of love, of course, romantic, motherly, friendly, social, political, divine.”

Read my celebration of love and of the Indian Supreme Court verdict that protects all love, queer and straight, a verdict that coincided with my birthday.

Poetry Is Possible.

On 1st June 2018 Født Fri was launched, a foundation that works for freedom and against negative social control. The foundation is led by Shabana Rehman Gaarder, a Norwegian Pakistani woman with many years of experience as a human rights and animal rights activist as well as performer.
I was invited to perform some poetry, and chose to do an excerpt of
Taste and See as well as two poems from my latest poetry collection, Poetry Is Possible.
